“I purchased two of your meal plans this week- One Pot and Omnivore. In my opinion, the thing that sets you apart THE MOST from other recipe bloggers is not just the inexpensive aspect, but how you teach us we can recreate food from around the world. For example, until you showed me, I did not know that I could make a Bulgogi bowl, or Okonomiyaki, or Mujaddara… until you I was spending all this money on takeout because while I know how to make pasta or chili, I didn’t know how to make Korean food for example.” Dora

“Finished week 1 of the one-pot plan, and every meal was a hit with the family! Took a break tonight from the plan, whipped up some Beef and Cabbage Stir-Fry, a longtime favorite in our house. I’ve been cooking Budget Bytes recipes for years, and refer my friends to the site! These meal plans are great, because I’m trying recipes I would not select myself. AND I get a break from planning – it’s done for me! Thanks Beth and crew for all you do to help me keep my busy, hungry family fed!” Debby

I loved this! I went through my pantry and checked off the ingredients that I already had and then ordered my groceries online to be sure that I both got the least expensive items on offer and that I didn’t throw anything extra into the cart. We are a family of two with two children every-other-weekend and our monthly food expenditure is usually about $1200. Over the past four weeks I spent $332.42 on groceries and $232.17 on restaurants. (And $80 of that is my husband’s lunches out with the kids as their special time.) For this week I picked my seven favorite recipes and just spent $62.51 at the grocery store to cover the entire week.
The meals were so easy to prepare and absolutely delicious. I went with the one-pot plan because I really hate both cooking and cleaning, but today I am going to order the omnivore and see if I can manage to clean two pans each night. 😋
Thank you so much for coming up with this plan – it’s just excellent!

Absolutely LOVE your meal plan (One Pot meal plan). I’ve made it through most of the first 2 weeks weeks so far, it’s been slow going because of Christmas/holidays, but I plan on purchasing the Vegetarian meal plan next–in fact, I plan on trying them all:) THANK YOU so much for creating this. It’s been a fun process for the whole family, and I have enjoyed every recipe so far–since I’m actually kind of a picky eater, I really didn’t expect to like them all!

I also very much appreciate that the grocery list is created for me, so I just check off the items to make sure I have everything.

Great recipes that come out like it says it should. The weekly grocery list is really nice. My wife said doing this was one of my best ideas… so, thanks Budget Bytes!
