“As someone who just started this meal planning journey, I just wanna say how helpful this already is! My husband and I are both full-time broke college students with part-time jobs and almost no free time. I did all my shopping for week one of the vegetarian plan PLUS all the little extra things (dish soap, milk, etc.) and spent less than I usually do on groceries! And having all the ingredients on hand for these recipes is such a relief! I’ve only made the Smoky Potato Chickpea Stew so far, but it blew our minds. I’m eating leftovers for breakfast right now while I do homework. 😜 Can’t wait to continue cooking!” Jessica

    This is the greatest thing to have happened in our kitchen!! We love to cook, but the planning aspect has always been a challenge. It’s hard to think of what to make day after day, and harder yet when you decide on something only to realize you’re missing a key ingredient. This means we often default to a simple go-to meal, which is ok, but not satisfying like a real meal. This takes all the work out of cooking and shopping, and just leaves you with the the fun of cooking.

    You need to get this. Soon you’ll wonder how you got along without it!

    My roommate and I cannot stop singing the praises of these meal plans!! The weekly grocery lists are my favorite part! All the measurement math and planning is already done for you!! Every recipe is a winner and I love the freezer and leftover ingredient suggestions. We have been saving SO much money on groceries! Plus, you get to be a part of a lovely Budget Bytes Facebook community and BBBeth will comment on your posts making you feel like you’re friends with a celebrity! πŸ˜‰

    We had a great experience with the vegetarian meal plan! Our goals were to save some time on the planning part, and learn new vegetarian recipes. I must say that it was very easy, we definitely saved money and it made our lives easier over the past four weeks.
    However we had to adapt a bit, because by the middle of the second week we had way too much leftovers and not everything was meant to be frozen… so we decided to skip a recipe or two every week for the rest of the plan, and just shorten the grocery list. Cooking 4-5 times a week is plenty for us, 6 times was a bit too much.
    The only thing we disliked about the plan was the very high ratio of mexican/american recipes – especially in week 2 – and maybe it’s a cultural thing but we were not used to that at all. It was a bit overwhelming to eat meals with tortillas, beans, babecue sauce, smoked paprika, etc. almost everyday that week. Again we decided to leave some recipes out because we were not very enthusiastic about them.
    But then it’s a question of preference, and the plan proved to be easily adaptable, so all in all we are mostly happy to have tried it and we are going to do some of these recipes again for sure!! And I would definitely recommend trying it, it was worth the cost! πŸ™‚
